Kartovian, (noun) Hiems daemonium - kärtōvjɔːɲ
A species derived from Kharkisks, are ‘demonic’ looking in shape, size and sometimes behavior depending on the Kartovian. They are adapted for deathly cold temperatures, they do not do well in warm conditions. A phenomena we refer to as ‘breaking point’ happens, where if a Kartovian reaches a certain temperature, their need to maintain homeostasis will flair up, and their version of sweat will spike out of their pores, creating various forms of ice on the body; spikes, sheets, prince rupert’s drops. They have fur, skin, and hair, a strange mixture of conditions mostly only found in mammals. They walk on two legs, but are multi-jointed, can switch to walking on all fours, and are capable of learning English, mimicking human tendencies like emotion, care, education and features alike.
Seemingly no problem with their strength factor, their muscles are made for heavy lifting and extended use, after many tests results concluded that it didn’t matter whether or not a Kartovian exerted strength frequently or not in their lives, they’d suffer muscle atrophy at around 40, and continue suffering of it for the rest of their lives.

- They say a lobotomy makes one docile, and submissive. That a lobotomy removes the neurons in the frontal lobe that lead to violence and mental disorders; but all it did was fuel his anger more, even little things piss him off to no end.
- Despite Vint's urge to people please and be agreeable, that's about all he likes to interact with; he doesn't care to speak to anyone if they won't like him, makes him easier to be forgotten, just the way he likes it.
- Never mentioned on screen, CotK is caused by Vint wailing out in pain, which determines whether or not the holiday happens early.
